'Arrested Development' is getting a new season, Will Arnett confirms

By Daniel S Levine,

It’s one thing for Netflix to say they want more Arrested Development, but it’s another thing when one of the beloved show’s cast members say it’s going to happen. Hours after Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said there will be more, G.O.B. himself confirmed it.

In an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night, Will Arnett said that there will definitely be more Arrested Development.

“It’s gonna happen, but we don’t know when,” the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actor said. “But it is going to happen.”

The comments came just after Sarandos said that he was “positive” that there will be another season of the show. “It's just a matter of when,” he told USA Today.

Arrested Development only ran for three seasons on Fox, but was revived by Netflix last year. Unfortunately, the season didn’t feature many episodes with every member of the Bluth family in one spot. The schedules for stars Arnett, Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Portia De Rossi, Tony Hale and others wouldn’t allow for it.

We can only hope that their schedules allow for more time together for season five, although more Tobias centric episodes would be welcome.

Arnett stars in CBS’ The Millers, which earned a second season and will be back in September.
