Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj sent the world into a frenzy when they released their jaw-dropping remix to Bey’s “Flawless.” In the song, Bey addresses the infamous elevator brawl between her sister Solange and her rapper husband Jay Z. Nicki, on the other hand, references the alleged killing of Michael Jackson by the King of Pop's doctor, Conrad Murray.
The song premiered on Beyoncé’s website and Minaj later shared the link on her official Twitter page. The collaboration wasn’t that shocking since BET reported that Minaj delayed the release of her new single “Anaconda” because she was working on something with Beyoncé.
In the song, Beyoncé pokes fun at the elevator incident by rapping “Of course sometimes s**t go down/When it's a billion dollars on an elevator.” The daring diva repeated the line again; during the second time, the singer is more boastful as she harmonizes with herself and added that hyper laugh from “Drunk in Love."
Minaj also delivers a couple of eyebrow-raising moments like when she spits “Yo, like MJ doctor, they killing me/Propofol, I know they hope I fall.” She is comparing her haters trying to discourage her to Michael Jackson overdosing on Propofol, which was administered by Dr. Conrad Murray.
Minaj’s new single “Anaconda” leaked earlier that day, as well. Check out “Andaconda” and “Flawless (Remix).”
