Beyonce will not only hit the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 24, she will also receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
Queen Bey, who is currently on the massively successful On the Run tour with her husband Jay Z, will be honored for her vast body of work.
Beyonce was nominated for eight VMAs this year and has won 11 in her solo career.
Past recipients of the Vanguard Award, which was renamed after the late King of Pop in 1991, are Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, U2, Janet Jackson and Beastie Boys.
L.A. Times reports Beyonce has made history with previous VMA appearances, such as performing for the first time without her group, Destiny’s Child, in 2001 and announcing her pregnancy with daughter Blue Ivy in 2011.
Maroon 4, Ariana Grande, Usher and 5 Seconds of Summer are among other artists confirmed to perform when the show airs live from the Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
