A new door to the Breaking Bad world created by Vince Gilligan will be opening in a few months and AMC finally gave us a first glimpse. The network aired a super-brief clip from Better Call Saul that was just enough to get fans excited.
AMC has yet to post an official version of the teaser online yet, so all we have so far is a shaky video of the clip from a fan. In it, a very young Saul Goodman - played again by Bob Odenkirk - tells a potential client, “Lawyers, we’re like health insurance. You hope you never need it, but... Man, oh man, not having it? No!”
At the end, AMC notes that the show will be premiering in February. It seems like a good idea, since you could have the show’s first season wrap around the time Mad Men’s final season starts. AMC could have the season finale of Saul lead-in to the mid-season premiere of Mad Men.
The network has also launched a BetterCall Saul.com site, which looks like a fully operational site for a law firm.
Better Call Saul was supposed to air this fall, but AMC pushed back the premiere date until next year. However, they did renew the show, so the writers don’t have to worry about finishing their story in just a single season. First images were revealed last month.
