Celine Dion has indefinitely postponed every professional obligation she has in the near future to be with her husband, René Angélil, as he suffers from health complications.
Angélil is going through "a very difficult and stressful time” after surgery to remove a tumor from his throat this past December. She’s also been experiencing inflammation in her throat muscles.
"I want to devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband's healing, and to do so, it's important for me to dedicate this time to him and to our children," she told People in a statement. The couple have 13-year-old René-Charles, and twins Eddy and Nelson, 3.
"I also want to apologize to all my fans everywhere, for inconveniencing them, and I thank them so much for their love and support,” she added.
Dion has postponed her Asia tour as well as put her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace on hold while she supports her husband. She hasn’t been able to perform since July 29 due to her own throat issues.
