After all the turmoil in his personal life, there’s finally a light at the end of the tunnel for Chris Brown’s professional life. The “Loyal” singer has announced his new album X will be available on Sept. 16.
Brown took to Instagram on Sunday night to make the announcement, posting an image of himself with the date across his face and a big red “X” going across the photo.

The album’s release date has been delayed, originally getting a May 5 release date. Some of its singles, “Fine China,” “New Flame” with Rick Ross and Usher and “Loyal” with Lil Wayne, have already been released.
Brown told USA Today in March, "X is about life, it's about me. X is the 24th letter of the alphabet, and I'll be 24 when it comes out. When you see X on a vial, it's like forbidden fruit. For me, it means being able to express myself without a filter, without boundaries."
X is Brown’s sixth studio album.
