New Jersey governor Chris Christie danced with the best of them this past weekend in the Hamptons during a charity event at billionaire Ronald Perelman’s East Hampton estate.
Christie can be seen in a video posted by Page Six, dancing onstage with Django Unchained star Jamie Foxx.
The star-studded benefit was attended by Howard Stern, Sir Paul McCartney, Barbra Streisan, Jack Nicholson, Anjelica Huston and Robert De Niro, with performances by Pharell Williams, Sting, Gladys Knight and Jon Bon Jovi.
Foxx said of dancing on stage, “It's always the ones you don’t expect. Republicans love to dance — in the Hamptons.” Added Nicholson, “That was one hell of a night. Christie really held his own. I told him, as he walked back to his seat, ‘Governor, you can’t let New Jersey down.’”
Even John McCain got up to dance at the charity event, which raised over $4 million for the Apollo Theater.
USA Today reports some tables went for a whopping $100,000.
Christie attended the event as a guest of Bon Jovi.
