Everyone remembers Britney Spears’ VMA snake performance, now it looks like Minaj has taken a page from Spears’ book. However, the snake didn’t seem happy about it. During a run through of the ‘Anaconda’ performance, a dancer was bit by a 6-foot snake (most likely an anaconda) and rushed to the hospital reports TMZ. Luckily, anacondas are non-venomous snakes; however, there is the danger of transmitted bacteria. After the bite, the snake was put away in a container and was removed from the stage. There is no telling whether or not the same snake will appear for the main performance tomorrow.

In 2001, Spears performed with a beautiful yellow python on the VMA stage for her song “I’m a Slave 4 U” according to Daily Mail online.

The VMAs are known to have crazy and outrageous performances so Minaj’s snake act fits right in. Watch the VMAs tomorrow night on MTV.
