Elijah Wood has joined Guardians of the Galaxy star Vin Diesel in Lionsgate's upcoming film, The Last Witch Hunter.
Others in the cast include Game of Thrones' Rose Leslie and Interstellar's Michael Caine, according to Variety. It hasn't been revealed what role the Lord of the Rings actor will play in the film.
Wood is currently starring in the final season of FXX's Wilfred and appears in the upcoming film Set Fire to the Stars. He was also in the recent indie film Grand Piano.
The Last Witch Hunter stars Diesel as an immortal witch hunter, Deadline reports. When a deadly plagued is released upon New York City by several witch covens, Diesel's character finds he must partner up with a female witch in order to try and save the city.
Breck Eisner (The Crazies) is directing the film, which is set to start production later in August. The script was written by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama off Cory Goodman's pitch.
Diesel, Mark Canton and Bernie Goldman will produce, while Adam Goldworm and Samantha Vincent will executive produce.
