Now that Marvel’s Ant-Man is in production, the film’s stars will begin using social media to drop whatever hints the studio allows them to. Last night, the film’s female lead, Evangeline Lilly, shared a few photos of her new hairstyle for the film.
Lilly, who is best known for her role on ABC’s Lost, plays Hope Van Dyne and some have hoped that she would become The Wasp. Lilly’s haircut suggests that she might take that role at some point, considering the ‘60s inspired ‘do.
Lilly shared two photos on Instagram, one with her co-star Paul Rudd and another with her profile. “How's my new do?” she asked her fans.
Back on Monday, director Peyton Reed announced that production on the film has started. The next day, Marvel showed off the first still from the film, which showed a tough-guy Rudd under San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. Rudd stars as Stephen Lang, a former con man who meets Hank Pym, the inventor of the Ant-Man technology. Hank Pym is played by Michael Douglas.
Other actors slated to appear in the film include Corey Stoll as Yellowjacket, Judy Greer, John Slattery, T.I., Wood Harris, Gregg Turkington and Abby Ryder Fortson.
Ant-Man hits theaters on July 17, 2015.
