Jackie Chan’s son, Jaycee Chan, 31, has been detained on drug charges in Bejing, China. He was detained last Thursday but the information was made public on Monday.

Chan, an actor himself, was detained with Taiwanese film star Kai Ko, 23, as part of the country’s crackdown on drugs.

According to the Associated Press, 100 grams of marijuana was found in Chan’s home. They also both failed drug tests for the drug.

Police said more than 7,800 people have been arrested on drug-related charges in China since president President Xi Jinping’s anti-drug efforts have been enforced.

NBC News notes he has enforced strict penalties on drug-related crimes, even death.

M'Stones International, Chan’s management company, said they would "supervise his rehabilitation and help him return to the right path."

In 2009, his famous father was named an anti-drug ambassador for China. As we previously reported, he recently spoke about slowing down his career, saying he “hates violence” but loves action.
