Actor John C. Reilly just happened to be in small-town Manistee, Michigan, where he went to the Vogue Theater to see his latest film, Guardians of the Galaxy, on Friday.

Reilly said he has a cottage in the area, according to the Associated Press.

The versatile actor plays the role of Rhomann Dey in the new Marvel movie. The Manistee natives felt that Reilly's attendance at the Vogue Theater made it feel like a Hollywood premiere.

Along with John C. Reilly, the cast included stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and the voices of Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper.

Guardians of the Galaxy made a whopping $37.8 million its opening weekend on Friday, as previously reported. According to Box Office Mojo, that surpasses the first days' earnings of recent Marvel sequels, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Thor: The Dark World.

The superhero movie also received a promising 92 percent on movie rating site Rotten Tomatoes, and a user-voted 9/10 on IMDb.
