Kendall Jenner is changing her name to be taken more seriously as a model. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is dropping her last name and wants to be referred to as just “Kendall.”
Jenner’s modeling agency, The Society Management, has billed her as just Kendall alongside other models who used their full names.
Racked, the first to report the news, notes the website names other models like Liu Wen and Lindsey Wixon, but Jenner just uses her first name.
Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima is among other models signed to The Society Management.
Jenner, 18, recently did a spread for Vogue, telling the magazine her famous last name has made her work harder than the usual model.
"I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn't take me seriously as a model. Because of the TV show,” she said. “I went on castings and some people weren't feeling me because of my name. But it was great when people didn't recognize me. I was like, 'Thank you. Please don't recognize me.'"
