Marvel dominating the big screen since 2008, releases 5 minute video to sum up the past 6 years

By Melissa Barclay,

Marvel has a long list of movies that it wants to release, going all the way up to 2017. Since coming out with Iron Man 6 years ago, the company has steadily gaining fans and billions of dollars along the way.

The highest grossing Marvel film, Avengers, racked in $1.5 billion, also making it the third highest-grossing film of all times. Iron Man was close, but fell short with $1.2 billion, reported Forbes.

All eyes will now be on Avengers: Age of Ultron set to be released May 2015, as people wait to see if the sequel will earn more than the original at the box office.

The 5 minute video from Marvel contained the company’s films from Iron Man and even included the newly released Guardians of the Galaxy, which is in Marvel’s phase two.

The company’s first phase took B-list comic book heroes and turned them into a multibillion-dollar franchise. In the second phase, the company hopes to take less known characters and make them famous, reported Bloomberg Businessweek.

One word to describe the video? Epic.
