An Oklahoma City cop was arrested on Thursday after being accused of sexually assaulting multiple women while he was on patrol duty.
The International Business Times noted that Oklahoma City Police Chief Bill Citty said Officer Daniel Ken Holtzclaw was arrested for suspicion of “rape, forcible oral sodomy, sexual battery and indecent exposure.”
The 27-year-old police officer allegedly attacked several women, including a 57-year-old grandmother, between February and June.
The Oklahoman reported that authorities said they have received statements from six women so far and a seventh is set to give a statement.
Officials have said that during traffic stops, Holtzclaw would fondle the women or have them perform sexual acts on him. He is also accused of raping one of his victims. In the incidents, the three-year veteran allegedly used his authority and threatened to arrest them if they did not comply with his demands.
He is being held at the Oklahoma County jail and his bail has been set at $5 million.
