It looks like Hollywood is really working its magic with the ALS ice bucket challenge! The Hunger Games: Catching Fire stars Sam Claflin and Josh Hutcherson have joined the fight against ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease. Funny man and former The Twilight Saga actor Robert Pattinson has officially taken part in the movement as well.
As previously reported by TheCelebrityCafe.com, the ALS ice bucket challenge is a social media phenomenon that has helped raise funds for alsa.org in an effort to combat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. ALS is a debilitating neurodegenerative disease that currently affects about 30,000 Americans. As more and more people get involved with the ice bucket challenge, it seems to have also made its way into Tinseltown!
We have most recently become fortunate enough to watch Hollywood heartthrobs Pattinson, Claflin and Hutcherson dump cold water over themselves in the name of charity. Who knew donating funds to an important cause could be so fun! It’s always refreshing to see celebrities perform good deeds.
