The View's Sherri Shepherd and her estranged husband Lamar Sally’s surrogate has reportedly given birth to a baby boy, however, it still isn’t clear whether or not she will be taking on the role as mother.
The baby was born in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, according to TMZ.
In May, it was revealed that Shepherd and her husband of only three years were splitting, and in court documents, he has asked for sole custody of the baby.
As of last week, before the baby’s birth, Sally told People about an agreement, "It's still unclear what's going on.”
Shepherd hasn’t addressed the split or possibly forgoing maternity rights, but she did tweet late last month about the “battles” she’s facing.
“Keep the prayers coming... Still got more battles - please judge me by my character and not from the tabloids who are having a slow news day,” she wrote.

There was some good news for Shepherd this week, as she’s been cast as the wicked stepmother in Broadway's Cinderella opposite Keke Palmer.
