Hip-hop mogul Suge Knight is currently resting in the hospital his family said, but noted that he "lost a lot of blood."
On Knight's Facebook page, a message from his family was posted that provided an update of the former Death Row Records CEO's condition as of Sunday and expressed hoped that people would "stray away from the negativity portrayed by the media."
It is believed that after Knight was shot six times, he was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Reuters reports, but a spokeswoman wouldn't confirm or deny it.
As previously reported, Knight was shot at 1:30 a.m. early Sunday morning at the 10AK club. A source said he was shot in the arm and stomach.
In addition, to the music mogul, a 33-year-old man and 19-year-old woman also suffered gunshot wounds, but they too were expected to survive.
Sheriff's officials have said that neither the weapon nor the shooter have been found just yet. "Video at the club shows the suspect, a black-male adult, shoot a handgun at victim Knight, striking him and two other victims who were in Knight's vicinity," a spokeswoman said in a statement.
Police have been investigating the shooting as possibly gang-related as Knight is said to reportedly have gang ties, along with Chris Brown, who has said he plans to be cooperative with police, since he was hosting the event.
