Susan Sarandon’s Manhattan home was burglarized late Saturday night, with the criminal taking an unknown amount of jewelry, a laptop and a camera, among other items.

The New York Police Department confirmed the robbery, noting the actress was not in town when it occurred.

However, People reports her 22-year-old son, Miles Robbins, was staying in the home but wasn’t home at the time of the burglary.

He left somewhere between 8 and 9 p.m. and returned home around 3:30 a.m., realizing the home had been broken into while he was gone. He called police and reported several items missing at that time.

The intruder most likely gained access into the home either through a door or through a terrace window, police believe.

Authorities are waiting for Sarandon to return home so they can figure out the value of the items that were stolen.

According to TMZ, cops discovered a ladder next door to Sarandon’s home that the robber likely used to climb up the building. There was no sign of forced entry, but the apartment was a disaster when Robbins returned home.
