Joan Rivers, otherwise known as the Queen of the Barbed One-Liners according to IMDb, was rushed to the hospital after complications from throat surgery caused her to stop breathing. The Fashion Police star at 81-years-old has had a long career and is known for her raspy voice, as well as not hiding the fact she has had plenty of plastic surgery.
Born on June 8, 1933, Rivers was a guest hostess on The Johnny Carson Show before she left for her own show. In addition to having her own talk show and working on Fashion Police, Rivers has starred on Broadway and she was a stand-up comedienne. In 1990, she earned a Daytime Emmy for best talk show host and has had nominations for Tony Awards as well.
While we wait for further word on Rivers’ condition, TheCelebrityCafe.com has taken a look back at some of the moments during Fashion Police, which also stars Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne, and George Kotsiopoulos.
