TV Ratings: 'Big Brother,' 'Extant' slip, 'America's Got Talent' holds

Big Brother and America's Got Talent split the night in the TV ratings on Wednesday night, with one managing the best demo audience and the other the best overall audience.

NBC won the night with a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 7.16 million viewers. America's Got Talent snagged a 2.0 rating on the night and had a strong audience of 10 million viewers, HitFix reports. Freshman procedural Taxi Brooklyn was down slightly to a 1.0 demo rating.

CBS tied NBC in the demo with a 1.4 rating, but lagged behind with 5.65 million viewers. Big Brother topped the night with a 2.1 demo rating, but Extant dipped slightly to a 1.0 rating.

In third was Fox with a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demo and 3.71 million viewers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, So You Think You Can Dance performed consistently with a 1.1 rating.

ABC opted for all repeats on the night, while The CW aired Penn & Teller: Fool Us which earned a 0.5 rating in the demo, even with the previous week.
