TV Ratings: 'Big Brother' tops Thursday, 'Rookie Blue' closes out up

Big Brother might have dominated the ratings on Thursday night, but Rookie Blue saw improved numbers as it closed out another season.

CBS topped a night that will have some minor adjustments made later in the ratings due to preemptions for the NFL preseason. The network averaged a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.93 million viewers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, reality competition series Big Brother pulled in an even 2.3 demo rating.

ABC followed in a distant second place with a 1.0 rating in the demo and 4.69 million viewers. Largely ignored freshman reality series The Quest saw minor improvement to a 0.7 demo rating, while the two-hour finale of Rookie Blue drew an improved 1.1 rating.

With a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.77 million viewers, NBC came in third place, Hitfix reports. Freshman comedy Welcome to Sweden saw a slightly uptick in viewers to a 0.7 key demo rating.

Fox was on encore mode for the night offering up only two repeats of Bones and averaging a 0.7 rating in the advertiser-important demo and 2.82 million viewers.
