USA Network announced on Monday that veteran series Suits will be returning for a fifth season.
The renewed series, which is nearing the halfway point of its fourth season, is the first summer series to received a renewal from the network, Deadline reports. The fifth season will kick off in summer 2015 and run for 16 episodes.
"Suits continues to fire on all cylinders, delivering provocative storytelling and complex character that viewers can't get enough of," network president Chris McCumber said.
The series, which stars Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams has been a consistent performer in the ratings for USA, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Suits averages a total of 4 million viewers and is strong in the key demographics. On a per episode average, the series draws about 1.6 million in the 18-49 demographic, which is among the top 10 performers for scripted series. Nearly 1.7 million in the 25-54 demo also tune in.
USA is still deciding on renewals for veteran series Royal Pains, Covert Affairs and Graceland. Freshman series Playing House recently concluded its run but offered weak ratings, as are fellow airing new series Rush and Satisfaction.
