ABC is refreshing The View in more ways than one. While there will be new faces on the panel, there will also be a new logo. The long-running daytime talker will also move to a new studio.
The new logo was unveiled on the show’s Facebook page this morning. It ditches the sunburst for a more subdued blue circle behind the show’s title. The title is in a rounded black font.
ABC also announced that the show will move into the ABC Broadcast Center and will include a new social media station. It sounds similar to new segments on NBC’s Today Show and ABC’s Good Morning America, where the hosts interact with viewers on Facebook and Twitter.
In addition, the set will also get a new, state-of-the-art design.
The network did not say anything further about new hosts. Rosie O’Donnell officially re-joined the show in July and remains the only confirmed co-host, along with returning Whoopi Goldberg. Show creator Barbara Walters has retired and both Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy elected to not have their contracts renewed. McCarthy was only on the show for a year.
The View’s new season premieres on Sept. 15, so expect an announcement on the new hosts in the next week or so.
