Celebrity Birthdays, November 26: Tina Turner, Rita Ora and Peter Facinelli

Singers Tina Turner and Rita Ora, and actor Peter Facinelli are all celebrating their birthdays today, November 26.

Tina Turner, 75

Singer, dancer, actress and author Tina Turner turns 75 today. Born Anna Mae Bullock, Turner began her music career with Ike Turner's Kings of Rhythm as a featured singer in the 1950s. In 1960, as a member of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, a successful string of hits were credited to the duo, including "A Fool in Love," "River Deep – Mountain High," "Proud Mary" and "Nutbush City Limits." After a brief hiatus following her divorce from Ike Turner, she launched a comeback in the 1980s with hits like "Let's Stay Together" and "What's Love Got to Do with It" from her 1984 album Private Dancer.

Turner has also made numerous film appearances, including roles in the rock musical Tommy, a starring role in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome and a cameo role in Last Action Hero.

Throughout her career, Turner has won eight Grammy awards and has sold more concert tickets than any other solo act in history. Turner's Tina!: 50th Anniversary Tour became one of the highest selling ticketed shows of 2008–2009. In 1991, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Rita Ora, 24

British singer, songwriter and actress Rita Ora turns 24 today. She released her debut studio album, Ora, in 2012, which debuted at No. 1 on the UK charts and generated two No. 1 singles, "R.I.P." and "How We Do (Party)." Ora earned nominations at the 2013 BRIT Awards, including the BRIT Award for British Breakthrough Act.

The lead single from her second studio album, "I Will Never Let You Down," was produced by Calvin Harris and debuted at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart. Ora is featured on Iggy Azalea's single "Black Widow," from her album The New Classic. "Black Widow" became Ora's first top 10 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

In 2004, Ora appeared in the British film Spivs. In 2013, Ora appeared as a guest star in 90210, and as a racer in the film Fast & Furious 6.

Peter Facinelli, 41

Actor and Producer Peter Facinelli turns 41 today. In 1995, Facinelli made his feature film debut in Angela and gained the attention of critics in the TV-movie The Price of Love later that year. Other TV roles followed, including After Jimmy and Calm at Sunset. Facinelli co-starred as a high school student in Can't Hardly Wait, alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt. In 2000, Facinelli appeared in the sci-fi film Supernova starring James Spader. He made appearances in Riding in Cars with Boys and The Scorpion King.

Facinelli earned a leading role in the Fox drama Fastlane, had a recurring role in the HBO series Six Feet Under and a role in the FX original series Damages. He currently plays Dr. Fitch Cooper in the Showtime dark comedy series Nurse Jackie, which will air its seventh and final season in 2015.

Facinelli played Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the film adaptation of Twilight, based on the book by Stephenie Meyer, and continued his portrayal in the sequels of the film, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

Facinelli has three daughters with former wife Jennie Garth, and is currently in a relationship with Thor actress Jaimie Alexander.
