NBC says all Super Bowl TV ad slots are sold out

With four days to go before kick-off, NBC has said that it has already sold out all available ad slots for the Super Bowl XLIX broadcast.

During a conference call with reporters, NBC advertising sales EVP for news and sports Seth Winter called it a “record day in media for the company and for any TV company in terms of the volume of dollars the Super Bowl will represent on air.”

According to Business Insider, commercials cost anywhere between $4.4 million and $4.5 million for just a 30-second spot. Winter said that there were around 70 national units sold for the game, meaning that the network took in well over $300 million from just TV slots.

While the TV sales will make up the majority of NBC’s total ad revenue from the game, TheWrap notes that Winter told analysts that his team has tripled its digital efforts since 2012, the last time NBC had the game. Indeed, the network plans on posting commercials on a Tumblr blog as they air.

Several Super Bowl commercials have already been posted online. You can already see commercials for TMobile, Budweiser, Nationwide, Victoria’s Secret, BMW and Carl’s Jr. online.
