Former NBA star and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley is not afraid of making headlines with his sometimes outrageous comments and on Friday he did so again with what he said about his former agent.
Sportsgrid noted that while on the Dan Patrick Show, Sir Charles was asked about accepting money at Auburn. The 52-year-old clarified the story saying that he actually accepted money from agents. Then he mentioned his former agent Les Lessnick, who he claimed stole money from him, and said if he ever ran into him he “would blow his brains out.”
He told Patrick, “I borrowed money from agents. I have no regrets about it whatsoever. I needed stuff. I wanted stuff to do. You don’t have extra money and you can’t work. I really appreciate those agents ahead of me. Only mistake I made was I didn’t sign with one of these three agents. I signed with a scumbag agent. I don’t want to mention his name: Les Lessnick. If I saw him today, I would blow his brains out. I hate that s.o.b.”
Some other instances in which Chuck made comments that ignited strong reactions was in October when he spoke about racial issues and explained why he didn’t think most black people could be successful. And again last December, when talked about the events that took place around that time in Ferguson, Missouri.
