20th Century Fox Picks Up Narnia Franchise
Following Disney Pictures decision to opt out of financing the making of The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Walden Media has lured 20th Century Fox to co-finance the upcoming project.
Following a lukewarm performance of the The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, in which Disney Pictures spent a considerable amount to make, Disney decided to pass on another joint venture with Walden Media to produce the third film in the series.
Although The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian made a considerable amount of money, it was less than its predecessor in the series which cost a fraction of the sequel to make.
It is also said the previous cast and crew from the first two films will return for the third film once a script and budget has been finalized and approved by 20th Century Fox.
