$232 Million Winner in the Town of Winner

No winner has come forth in Winner, a town in South Dakota. The town produced a $232 million winner in the Powerball Jackpot.

The store that sold the ticket is only one of two stores in town that sell Powerball tickets. Ksfy.com reports that this was the ninth largest Powerball jackpot ever sold at a business.

The Local12.com reports that the winner has 180 days to claim the prize. He or she has not claimed the prize yet. The store in Winner will receive $50,000 for selling the winning ticket. According to the Associated Press the winning numbers were: five, six, twelve, 16 and 21; with the Powerball seven.

Winner is a farming town of 2,800 people. The winner has the option of receiving the $232 million in gradual payments over 29 years or a one-time payment of $118 million. The state of South Dakota sold a total of 7,475 tickets only one worth $300 or less.
