3 Doors Down Tops Album Charts
The fourth album by 3 Doors Down debuted at number one this week, making it the second week in a row the top three selling albums in the country will be making their debuts on the charts.
The Mississippi-based rock band's self titled album sold 154,000 copies in the week that ended Sunday, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This is the band's second album to hit number one.
Following 3 Doors Down was the debut from rapper Bun B, titled II Trill. The former member of UGK's album sold 98,000 copies, which was most likely a somber achievement because it marked the first album Bun B released after the death of fellow UGK member Pimp C.
Country singer Julianne Hough, who has also won twice on Dancing with the Stars, sold 67,000 copies of her album to come in at a strong third place.
Other notable debuts include: Jesse McCartney's Departure, which sold 30,000 in its opening week to come in at No. 14. Donna Summer's Crayons sold 23,000 to finish at No. 17.
