30 Rock Rocks the Emmys!
The largely underrated NBC sitcom, 30 Rock, begs for attention after stealing tonight's show with a total of seven Emmys, reports eonline.com.
Fan favorite Alec Baldwin won Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series, and he gave full credit to everyone who worked on the show.
"We have the greatest cast and the greatest crew and the greatest writers," said Baldwin who was nominated seven times before winning his Emmy.
But perhaps one of the night's biggest recognitions went to writer/comedian for 30 Rock Tina Fey, who scored wins for both Lead Actress in a Comedy and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.
Fey didn't miss a chance for a joke accepting the awards either.
"Sometimes when I don't know how to play a scene, my husband will say, 'Just try to act like Julia Louis-Dreyfus.' So, thanks, Julia, that's really working out for me," Fey joked to Louis-Dreyfus who was sitting in the audience.
The show won a total of seven Emmys including Tim Conway's guest actor statue along with five technical wins.
This begs the question, the show got attention at this year's Emmys, but will that be enough to get the attention of audiences that have been neglecting the show?
