30 Rock Will Return for Second Season
During its first season, NBC's 30 Rock received rave reviews, but low ratings. The sitcom will get another chance to prove it can rake in more viewers. NBC announced Wednesday that 30 Rock will return for a second season.
The comedy was created by Tina Fey of Saturday Night Live. Fey also stars in the show. Costars include Tracy Morgan, Alec Baldwin, and Jane Krakowski.
NBC Entertainment President, Kevin Reilly, said in a statement, the network expects the show to "continue to build its increasingly loyal audience and become another of NBC's classic comedy series." Some of those classics have included Seinfeld, Cheers, and most recently, the top-rated Two and a Half Men.
Another new challenge for 30 Rock, as of April 13, will be the show's move to the 9 p.m. slot on Thursday, competing with viewer favorites CSI on CBS and Grey's Anatomy on ABC.
