49ers to File Tampering Charges Against Jets
The San Fransico 49ers will file tampering charges against the New York Jets regarding Michael Crabtree
According to the Associated Press, Coach Mike Singletary implied that the San Fransisco 49ers will file tampering charges against the New York Jets regarding the 49ers unsigned draft pick, wide receiver Michael Crabtree. Crabtree wants a salary like those of his peers drafted above him and will not accept the 49ers offer of five year and $20 million, reportedly $16 million of which is guaranteed.
USA Today reports that even though the Jets are off to a 2-0 start, they seem to be interested in acquiring another wide receiver. Coach Rex Ryan denied that the Jets are interested in signing Crabtree.
The Washington Post states that the Jets are not allowed to contact Michael Crabtree unless given permission by the 49ers.
