Fiddy Cent is betting his two quarters that Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV isn't selling as well as people believe.
When Global Grind asked the rapper what he thought about Lil Wayne's album selling almost a million copies in its first week, he got a little smart-mouthed.
"To be honest with you, the Lil Wayne sales are a little suspect to me. Because it was trending 600,000 pieces that week. And they didn’t do a million copies, it was like 900,000."
Pop Dust reported 50 Cent is part of the million copies club. In 2008, his album, The Massacre, sold 1.14 million in its first week.
But in his defense, Lil Wayne's album sales were rounded up a bit. It sold 964,000 the week it hit stores.
And while he's not so much on board with Tha Carter IV, 50 Cent did say he enjoyed Tha Carter III, which legitimately did reach one million copies.
"Tha Carter III was definitely hot. He did that. Tha Carter III commanded that energy, but the last one that just came out, those numbers are funny."
