90210 Is a No for Thiessen
As fans anticipate the new 90210's big premiere Tuesday, Access Hollywood reports that Tiffani Thiessen won't be joining original cast members Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth, who are returning to the show.
Thiessen told Us Weekly at the Nike + Human Race in L.A., "I don't think so, I mean I wish them all the luck, but I'm just so in a different place right now."
There are no hard feelings apparently though, as she said, "You know, it's not that I don't look back at that show with wonderful, amazing memories, but I've just gone in a different direction for me. But I think it's wonderful."
When asked if she was sure about not going back, Thiessen only laughed. "I don't think so! I say that with a big smile! I don't think so."
She goes on to say that her former costars, Doherty and Garth, will do fine together on the new show.
"I think a lot of time has passed, you know. I'm sure they had their talks between them, beforehand. I think it's great for them. They look beautiful and I'm sure it will be great."
Fellow 90210 star Jason Priestley was also at the 10k run and Thiessen said the two are still close since the original show's end, saying, "I'm really close with him and his wife."
Priestley, who has previously stated to Access that he would not be coming back as a cast member, said he may be interested in directing a few of the show's episodes.
"They're talking to my people about seeing if they can slot me in over there. I directed more episodes of 90210 than anybody. I directed 18 episodes."
