ABC Announces Scripted Shows' Return Dates

Lost will shift times on Thursday night once "Grey's Anatomy" returns, making ABC's Thursday night one of the best three hours of network television around.

ABC has announced the date of its signature scripted shows, TheCelebrityCafe.com is happy to report.

The impressive ABC Thursday night schedule will return April 24, with Lost moving to 10 p.m. to make way for medical drama Grey's Anatomy at 9 p.m. On the same night, Ugly Betty will return to its familiar 8 p.m. time slot.

All three shows will run five more original episodes, which allows ABC executives to run original episodes through May sweeps.

Desperate Housewives returns with seven new hours of material starting at 9 p.m. April 13, with six weeks of originals, including a two-hour season finale.

Brothers & Sisters, the show following Housewives, will return at 10 p.m. April 20, with only four new episodes.

Also returning will be Boston Legal, back Tuesdays at 10 p.m. starting April 8, with six more episodes. Samantha Who will return on April 7 at 9:30 p.m., with six originals.

As ABC and TheCelebrityCafe.com have already reported, Pushing Daisies, Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money will not return until the fall.
