ABC Renews "Scrubs" for Its Ninth Season!

Despite low ratings, the ABC network has yet to pull the plug on the veteran comedy series.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, ABC announced, on Friday, that most of the main cast members, including Donald Faison, John C. McGinley, and Neil Flynn, have already signed on to continue with the show.

Star Zach Braff is set to come back for six episodes to transition the show to its new setup.

Also, Sarah Chalke has been approached with a similar deal to Braff's, but it's not clear if she will be rejoining the series, since she does have a recurring role on another network's show, CBS's comedy series, How I Met Your Mother.

Though Judy Reyes has not been approached for a deal, she may appear as a guest star.

Scrubs creator, Bill Lawrence, said the show will have a mixture of original cast members and some of the interns who were introduced this past season.
