ABC Says "Goodbye" to a Few Good Shows
Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone are all axed from the ABC evening line up. The shows became popular during the highpoint of the Writer's Guild of America stike that took place earlier this year. But once the strike ended and all shows went back on the air with the new season, unfortunately ratings were showing that viewers were not watching the "strike popular" shows.
Pushing Daisies is centered around a man who has the power to bring back the dead with his touch, but only for one minute and once he touches them again, they are dead forever. Eli Stone focuses on an attorney who had a tumor in his brain which left him having visions of the future. Dirty Sexy Money is about a powerful New York family and has all the drama of a daytime soap opera in the P.M.
Each show had a 13-episode run at the start of the season. ABC will air all 13 episodes of each, but once those are aired, viewers can say farewell to some rather creative and interesting story lines.
