Activision Lines Up DJ Hero

Activision has recently confirmed that a spin-off of their popular "Guitar Hero" games is on its way.

DJ Hero, where the player uses a turntable, is slated for release later this year by the gaming giant.

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick confirmed the long rumored game in an interview with CNBC during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

"We have this product called DJ Hero coming out later this year, which is a turntable that you actually can play competitively and spin discs and mix songs," he said.

According to British gaming site, Digital Spy, the rumors of the game first came about after famed disc jockey DJ Tiesto claimed to be participating in an exclusive version of the game.
