Actor Ryan O'Neal Pleads Guilty to Drug Charge

Actor Ryan O'Neal, best known for starring in the 1970 film, "Love Story," pled guilty on Friday for a felony drug charge.

According to Reuters, the case is related to an incident on Sept. 2008. The 67-year-old was arrested along with his 23-year-old son, Redmond O'Neal, who was on probation for a previous drug conviction, after police found methamphetamine in their Malibu home.

O'Neal was ordered to complete 18 months of drug counseling. The actor's case could be dismissed if he successfully completes the drug diversion program.

Redmond O'Neal, whose mother is actress Farrah Fawcett, also faced charges of possession of methamphetamine, including possession of drug paraphernalia and pepper spray. His arraignment has been postponed until February 20.

More recently, Ryan O'Neal has made guest appearances on the Fox series, Bones. His daughter is Oscar winner Tatum O'Neal, who last year faced charges for possession of drugs.
