Actress Lori Petty Arrested for DUI

Lori Petty was booked into the Van Nuys jail on suspicion of drunk driving.

Actress Lori Petty was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of a felony drunk driving, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Petty hit a man on a skateboard with her car while driving in Venice at about 9:30 Saturday night, Los Angeles Police Officer Bruce Borihanh said. The skateboarder was treated for minor injuries at the scene and then released, KTLA.com reports. Petty was not injured.

According to NBC Los Angeles, Petty was booked into the Van Nuys jail on suspicion of felony DUI at 1:21 a.m. She spent more than five hours there before posting $100,000 bail at 6:48 a.m. Sunday.

The 45-year-old actress is best known for playing Keanu Reeves' surfer girlfriend in the 1991 movie "Point Break." She has also had roles in "A League of Their Own" in 1992, the 1995 movie "Tank Girl" and in "The Glass Shield," in which she played an L.A. County sheriff's deputy.
