Adam Sandler Breaks His Ankle Playing Basketball

The actor reportedly broke his ankle while playing sports with friends.

According to the Associated Press, Adam Sandler broke his ankle while playing basketball with friends during the weekend. The actor's representative confirmed the report and also added that Sandler won the basketball game.

Sandler, 41, recently starred in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. He rose to fame during the '90s with the films Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore.

Sandler is currently working on a new Walt Disney Pictures project entitled Bedtime Stories, in which he plays the character of a hotel handyman. The film centers on the handyman whose bedtime stories miraculously become reality.

The broken ankle is not expected to delay or affect the film's production in any way, according to a statement from Sandler's representative.

Sandler has an additional new film called You Don't Mess with the Zohan.
