Adele has undergone throat surgery to repair damage caused by hemorrhaging of her vocal cords.
The damage according to iVillage forced Adele to cancel a number of tour dates last month. She is expected to make a full recovery.
Rolling Stone reports that singer has suffered a number of ruptured blood vessels that have greatly affected her singing. Many original believed that the artist was suffering from throat cancer but no evidence has been brought forth to support the claim.
Fans can rest assured that Adele power voice was in safe hands. The surgery was preformed by in Boston by Dr. Zeitels the director of Massachusetts General Hospital Voice Center. Zeitels reportedly treated Steven Tyler when issues a raised with his vocal cords.
The outcome of the surgery is positive. Adele will be spending the rest of 2011 recovering from the surgery.
