Adrian Grenier Takes on the Paparazzi in New HBO Documentary

Adrian Grenier, star of HBO’s ‘Entourage’ is turning the tables on the paparazzi in his new documentary for HBO according to a press release issued by the network.

The documentary, ‘Teenage Paparazzo’ Grenier follows Austin Visschedyk, a 14-year-old-paparazzo Grenier met one night in Los Angeles.

According to the press releas, “Initially, Grenier thought he'd be on a journey to get back at the paparazzi for years of what he believed to be breaches of privacy, but after a while the vendetta turned into a greater exploration of how they need each other.”

Grenier not only experiences life as a paparazzo but he also explores the psychology behind the hunger for celebrity gossip and “parasocial relationships” where people feel as if they know a celebrity without actually being acquainted with them.

The documentary also includes interviews and appearances from celebrities such as Lindsey Lohan, Alec Baldwin, Paris Hilton and a few of Grenier’s ‘Entourage’ cast mates.

‘Teenage Paparazzo’ debuts exclusively on HBO on Monday, September 27 at 9/8c.
