Aerosmith's Steven Tyler Has Quit
Aerosmith's guitarist, Joe Perry told the Las Vegas Sun Monday that singer, "Steven [Tyler] quit as far as I can tell. I don't know anymore than you do about it. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band. I don't know for how long, indefinitely or whatever. Other than that, I don't know."
Apparently Tyler is notorious for not returning his phone calls. The band can only go off an interview Tyler did with the British music magazine, Classic Rock where Tyler said he wants to concentrate on "Brand Tyler."
For the past few months the band has had a few problems. In August Tyler fell offstage at a concert in South Dakota and was airlifted to a hospital. The band was forced to cancel a US tour.
Reacting to Tyler's supposed departure, Perry was so stunned by the recent developments; he just hopes to keep Aerosmith together, with or without Tyler. Perry told the Las Vegas Sun "As far as replacing Steven, it's not just about that, it's also four guys that play extremely well together, and I'm not going to see that go to waste. I really don't know what path it's going to take at this point, but we'll probably find somebody else that will sing in those spots where we need a singer."
