Alec Baldwin Loses Interest in Acting
Alec Baldwin, who has won an Emmy for his role on "30 Rock," says he has lost interest in acting.
Baldwin has been in movies and television shows for over 30 years. His television-acting career started in the 1980s, and his film career includes favorites such as "Beetlejuice," "The Cooler," and an upcoming film, "It's Complicated," which also stars Meryl Streep and Baldwin's Oscar co-host, Steve Martin.
In an interview with Men's Journal, Baldwin stated that "30 Rock" was "pretty much it for him." He has also told Playboy Magazine that he would retire at "30 Rock's" wrap party.
Baldwin believes that his entire movie career was a complete failure. "The goal of movie-making is to star in a film where your performance drives the film, and the film is either a soaring critical or commercial success, and I never had that," Baldwin shared with Men's Journal.
In the interview, Baldwin did not say anything about what he planned to do once he retired from acting.
