Alec Baldwin Rushed to a Hospital on False Emergency

Alec Baldwin, 51, was sent to a hospital after a frightful conversation between him and his daughter, Ireland.

Baldwin, who played in The Aviator and The Departed and had took two Emmy Awards for his character on NBC sitcom, 30 Rocks, had a verbal altercation with his daughter which allegedly had Ireland thinking that he was suicidal.

The NY Post reported that the conversation between the two ended in a miscommunication. Baldwin, ended his phone conversation saying, "I'm tired of this. I'm going to take some pills. I'm going to end this," and hung up without saying goodbye.

Ireland tried reaching her dad for multiple times, failed to reach a response, and called the police in panic.

The police arrived taking Baldwin to a nearby hospital. He was released 45 minutes later after doctors have confirmed it was not a suicidal call. He had simple taken an Ambien pill to help him sleep, and it was not a case of overdose in drugs or alcohol.

Baldwin took this incident very sensitively. He thought this was an intentional doing by his ex-wife, Kim Basinger, as a way to embarrass him in front of the media. Basinger has not commented.

Other sources said that Baldwin’s pals think he set it up for media attention.

Baldwin was fine and returned to work the next day.
