Alicia Keys on Motherhood and Making a Difference

Keys might adopt in the future.

Singing, songwriting superstar Alicia Keys has hinted that once she is ready to be a mother, adoption is likely an avenue she will pursue, People reports.

The 28-year-old recently attended a screening of We Are Together - a documentary about the children of Agape Orphanage in South Africa - which is the Grammy winner's biggest cause. She is the co-founder of the Keep A Child Alive organization and is passionately behind making a difference.

"They are such a beautiful, beautiful group of children . . . they've been through so much. But they are so bright and resilient and hopeful," Keys admired of the children whose lives were depicted in the documentary.

On her own plans for children, Keys remarked: "I think that adoption is truly important to consider."

With her own consideration of the children of the world, Keys sees Angelina Jolie as a fellow celebrity to emulate. "It's beautiful the way that she embraces children of the world," she praised.

On a broader spectrum, the "Superwoman" singer theorized: "We all are one. We're not as separate as we often think."
