Miley Cyrus's alleged stalker was set free on Friday, TMZ reported.

Georgia resident Mark McLeod, 53, pledged guilty on two misdemeanors for obstruction and disorderly conduct, and was sentenced to 24 months probation.

McLeod has to get a mental health evaluation as part of the probation.McLeod was first arrested near the set of Cyrus's movie on June 23, during which he claimed Cyrus was a friend of his and had invited him over to see her. During the arrest cops said he made frightening statements about Cyrus, and the 16-year-old singer was granted a temporary restraining order against him.

McLeod told the police he was destined to be with Cyrus and she sent him secret messages through the television set. Apparently McLeod kept thousands of pictures and letters he sent to Cyrus on his computer. McLeod also claimed he sent Cyrus two $2,000 diamond rings to Cyrus along with many other presents.
