Allen Smith Was Surprised When Voted Off

Allen Smith shares his emotions on being voted off "The Biggest Loser" and speaks about his life now.

Allen Smith did not consider himself enough of a threat to be voted off "The Biggest Loser."

On Tuesday night's episode of "The Biggest Loser," Smith, 44, was voted off the show when Amanda Arlauskas cast the deciding vote. The firefighter/EMT was surprised that she did not think more about the competition, and the likelihood of him winning.

"I know Amanda is somewhat of a game player and I was thinking that she would want to look at going for [$250,000 grand prize]," Smith told Reality TV World. "So I was just a little surprised."

Still, he admits that at such a late stage of the competition, no one feels too safe.

"But when you're on ‘The Biggest Loser' and you get down to that few of contestants, really nothing comes as a big, big surprise."

Liz Smith, the self-proclaimed "grandma" on the show, also landed in the bottom two but was saved by Arlauskas's vote.

Even though he has left the ranch, Allen continues to improve his health with the help of his family.

"My wife has been on board and is doing phenomenal," he said. "I obviously want my family to be just as healthy as I am and it has that longevity that we're walking towards."
